Meet artist Jeneen Frei Njootli from their Vuntut Gwitchin homelands in Old Crow, Yukon, presenting their solo exhibition at The Power Plant. Working across sculpture, sound, performance, and textile-based practices, Jeneen reimagines how Indigenous life is represented and experienced. In their exhibition, found objects and garments worn by the artist and their family are wrapped in tarps, hides, and scarves, then sealed in resin—preserving form, memory, and meaning.
