The Downrock Records Streets: December 2025

@willy_musicnature_ A fun-filled late morning/early afternoon of live music. Toronto's "Coffee And All That Jazz" coffee shop was the place to be during the late morning and early afternoon today to take in some wonderful live music. The musical folk-pop duo from Toronto, Canada called "Baobab Cherry"(with Yukiko Tsutsui (aka Kiiola) and Donné Roberts) performed 2 stellar sets of music as they played original songs & cover songs of mostly folk and some pop Japanese, as well as Madagascan music. I love the name of this band because "Baobab" is a tree commonly found in Madagascar (where Donne is from), while "Cherry" is a tree commonly found in Japan (where Kiiola is from). A very talented musical duo!! Give them a follow on Instagram; their Instagram handle is @baobab_cherry It was a really packed house inside this coffee shop as it was standing room only at times. I ordered egg salad sandwich and an iced coffee for lunch here; both were delicious. The service was great as well. This was much-needed as I am going through some challenging times now. But I felt better after this show.
